Ambassadors Program Frequently Asked Questions
Responsibilities
As an AGF Ambassador, you'll be expected to:
Welcome Guests: Greet visitors warmly and provide guidance on golf rules and course conditions.
Pace of Play: Promote enjoyable play by encouraging adherence to the pace of play guidelines.
Course Guidance: Offer assistance on tricky holes that require special attention due to their design or visibility challenges.
Charity Support: Engage in fundrsing initiatives, either on-site at the course where you volunteer or for charitable causes off-site.
Requirements
Positive Attitude: Mntn a frily, respectful demeanor towards everyone interacting with you.
Volunteer Commitment: Contribute at least 8 hours weekly as part of AGF activities or directly benefitting charities through your service.
Charity Engagement: Dedicate an additional 8 hours monthly to charity work related to golf or any other charitable cause.
Code of Conduct: Adhere to a set of standards for behavior and appearance established by the host course.
Volunteer Agreement: Sign the AGF Volunteer Agreement Form outlining you agree to follow.
Trning Meetings
Participate regularly in meetings and trning sessions organized by the host golf course to ensure you're up-to-date with all aspects of the Ambassador program.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license for operating golf carts if required.
Volunteer Hours Breakdown
Weekly: Your volunteer hours can be accumulated through different roles such as welcoming guests, acting as a rover, spotting on course, or charity support activities.
Monthly: Any charity work counts towards this goal. This includes on-site fundrsing efforts at the host course and off-site contributions to charities.
Dress Code
An AGF name badge and safety helmet will be provided by your host golf course. You'll need a clean golf shirt as part of your attire.
Benefits
Host courses may offer green fee, cart fees, driving range privileges, and other incentives for Ambassadors based on their familiarity with the game and golf etiquette.
Application Process
Reach out to local American Golf-operated courses about potential opportunities within their AGF Ambassador program. Application procedures vary by course.
Background Check
All new Ambassador candidates are subject to a background check conducted through an approved third-party vor, ensuring the safety and integrity of our volunteers.
