JCKSC Go Fun Junior Golf Development Programme
For the past several years, Kau S Chau Public Golf Course KSC has been running a grassroots schools outreach program med at introducing golf to elementary school children across Hong Kong. This initiative offers thousands of young individuals the opportunity to learn and play golf on various fields and courses within our premises.
Program Overview
The Go Fun Junior Golf Programme, generously supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, is designed to harness physical, social, and emotional benefits for youths by incorporating golf into their early development stages. This program fosters growth through a structured pathway that encourages skill development and character building.
Development Pathway
Phase I: Golf Fundamentals
Golf Fun Day: The journey starts with an engaging Golf Fun Day at KSC.
On-site Trning: Our professional coaches conduct classes within schools, teaching students foundational golf movements and basic skills. This hands-on experience culminates in students' visits to KSC for practical application of their learning on the course.
Phase II: Junior Programme
A comprehensive 74-hour trning program is then conducted at our dedicated practice facilities and courses at KSC.
Phase III: KSC Seeding Programme
Students receive an intensive, 200-hour trning regimen med at refining skills, unlocking potential, and preparing them for competitive levels of play.
Program Highlights
1:1 Teaching Ratio: Ensuring personalized attention between coach and student.
Target Audience: Primarily focuses on primary school students within local communities.
Zero Tuition Fee: Accessible education promoting golf appreciation.
ded Schools Participation: Over 34 schools have benefited from this initiative, with over 2000 children introduced to golf.
