Our Story - The Pearl of Golf
Since its inception in 1967, Pearl at Kalauao has been a shining gem nestled within Kalauao ahupuaa land division. Designed by Akira Sato as a par-72 course, it challenges golfers of all skill levels while rewarding visitors with panoramic views of Pu'uloa Pearl Harbor, the Ko'olau mountns, and W'anae to the west. In 2020, ownership reverted to Kamehameha Schools after a long partnership with Honda Khatsu Kogyo Kabushiki Ksha, marking Pearl as Hawi's only locally-owned public golf course.
Pearl's unwavering commitment to serving the community and fostering international goodwill is reflected in its stunning landscapes that celebrate local history and culture. The stewardship of these lands by Kamehameha Schools ensures not just a high-quality golf experience but also supports Native Hawian learners' well-being and the vibrant community spirit.
Mission at Pearl at Kalauao
Pearl at Kalauao elevates the golfing experience, offering exceptional course facilities and amenities that honor its storied past. Whether you're enjoying a memorable round or hosting an event, our upgraded banquet halls, meeting spaces, and dining options are complemented by the picturesque 18-hole layout.
By January 2024, we'll be completing renovations on the golf course to enhance the playing experience with better greens, advanced irrigation systems, and improved terrn for a more enjoyable round of play. The clubhouse will also undergo upgrades in this timeframe, with both facilities reopening by the of 2024.
