The Volvo China Open has officially been confirmed as the final piece in The International Series puzzle for the year of 2023. This prestigious event, known for its rich history and high-caliber competitors, will take place from November 2-5 at Shenzhen's Hidden Grace Golf Club.

Featuring a prize purse totaling $1.5 million USD, this iconic competition will serve as the eighth major sanctioned by the Asian Tour within The International Series. Following this event, golf enthusiasts can look forward to the Hong Kong Open scheduled for one week later, with the Indonesian Masters acting as the finale on November 16-19.

This announcement marks a significant return of professional golfing events in China after a four-year hiatus. The last time the Asian Tour played in China was during the Volvo China Open in 2019.

Commenting on this development, Cho Minn Thant, Commissioner and CEO of the Asian Tour, expressed excitement about welcoming back to China: We're thrilled to bring the Volvo China Open back onto our schedule. It will be a long-awted visit since before the pandemic struck, and I'm sure our members are just as eager to return.

Zhang Xiaoning, President of the China Golf Association, recognized the event's significant role in promoting golf within the country: The Volvo China Open has consistently set standards for professional tournament golf in China. It has made substantial contributions to the development of golf here and this year will not be an exception as it joins The International Series and plays a key role in our preparations for the Paris Olympics following the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Adding to the history, this will mark Hidden Grace Golf Club's fifth hosting of the tournament since its last appearance in 2014, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

This news comes after The International Series Singapore at Tanah Merah Country Club from October 5-8 was confirmed as the seventh leg for this year's series.
